This system is under grid tied but uses only generator or national utility supply to charge its battery for use.the functionality of this system is purely dependent on other source of supply which may not be that effective in cases where there is power failure or fault.

A grid tied solar system employs the help of other supply source to assist the solar panels in powering the loads assigned to it and charging the batteries. other supply can be generator,national utility supply etc. this system primary source is the energy generated from the sun but still works with other source of supply to carry out operations.
